Bioi grew up in a fairly impoverished mill town in western ma....my parents were new yorkers who started a commune in which i was born. the other families moved away, some we still keep in touch with, and we stayed in that house.
i went to school in orange, until my junior year when i lived at an agricultural boarding school in israel. here i met most of the closest friends i have, discovered what patriotism really is, had a great time, and partied pretty hard.
although i love the hard living life and rage to the fullest, learning and my career have always been very important to me. I went to NYU undergrad and studied human sexuality and gender theory in their interdisciplinary school. I stayed in the city for a bit (met more amazing folks) and then came back home.
i worked for three years as a clinician and case manager at a residential treatment facility for adolescent males who have committed sexual harm. it was intense, beautiful and terrible. I have recently gone back to school for a master's in public health, concentration in community health ed, and work for the health education dept. at UMASS amherst.
I was married this past summer to an amazing man. I am having a really good time, and enjoying increasing self-awareness, so i am looking forward to having a journal, and being able to share it with more friends...
